FAQ’s
Is this event suitable for young children?
We do not recommend this event for children due to potential jump scares; we are using live actors who are there to scare, we also will be selling alcohol and having live music. This event runs from 6pm-10pm. Halloween Spooktacular is the event aimed towards children and families, this is a day time event located within Hatton Adventure World, our onsite children’s attraction. You can find a link to our Children’s event at the bottom of this page.
Will I need waterproofs?
The weather in October can be rainy, therefore waterproofs maybe a good suggestion, we have undercover areas in case of rain but the main pumpkin fields are open to the elements with some small covered areas.
Can you pay by cash on site?
No, we are a card only facility and will be unable to take cash on the evening, both the Bar and Caterers will also be working on a card only basis.
Are the PYO Pumpkins edible?
They are indeed…. all the pumpkins have been grown by our farm hands. We would love for you to tag us on your socials using #Hattonworld with any culinary delights you whip up, Enjoy!
Is food available on site?
Yes it certainly will be – right next to our bar and live music. Selling fish and chips and lots of other tasty snacks including toast your own marshmallows and of course there will be pumpkin spice latte’s!
Will we need wellies?
Due to the Pumpkins being in a field, the field and car park can get muddy; therefore we would recommend wearing your favourite wellies. This is of course weather dependant.
Are there toilets on site?
Yes, we have porta loos on site.
How much will pumpkins be?
Prices for our pumpkins range from 50p to £10. Once you have picked your pumpkins, our checkout team will use size rings to determine the price.
Are dogs allowed?
Yes! Dogs are welcome – but must be kept on a lead at all times. However, dogs are not permitted through the creepy cabin walk and will have to take the alternative route. Faeces will need to be picked up and disposed of by yourself; anyone seen not to be doing this will be asked to leave with no refund on their ticket.
Is this a scary event?
There is a short walk through our Creepy Cabins to the Pumpkin Field with a very mild scary element to it, there will also be a few live actors and a more moderately scary NEW Corn Crypt maze featuring further live actors: we ask you to not touch the actors and they will not touch you. They will however, be more than happy to take a quick selfie for your social media. We would not recommend those of a nervous disposition go through the Creepy Cabin/sCorn Crypt Maze.
Can I skip the Creepy Cabins/Corn Crypt Maze?
If you are still unsure about the Creepy Cabins/Corn Crypt Maze and would prefer to miss these out, you can take the alternative route straight to the Pumpkin Field.
Do you provide free carer tickets?
Yes, we do; these tickets can be added to your basket when booking. You will need to provide one of the following documents with valid photo ID; DLA or PIP letter, A Headed GP/Consultant letter, A valid Blue Badge. These must display a valid date that covers the date of your visit and must be presented for each person requiring a carer. If you are not sure if your documentation is valid, please send a copy via email to Hatton@hattonworld.com where we will be happy to assist.
What does (Weather permitting) mean by the Corn Crypt maze?
Due to the unpredictable British weather we will only be able to open the maze if the pathways are not made unsafe by large amounts of rain. This will be assessed closer to the time.
